Why sisal bristles?
expand_moreNatural plant fibre is firm enough to properly exfoliate without scratching or damaging the skin. Synthetic bristles are too harsh or too soft and don't do the job properly.
Does it hurt?
expand_moreIt feels firm and tingly but not painful, invigorating even. Use lighter pressure on sensitive areas like the chest and stomach, and avoid the face, neck and any broken or irritated skin. The sensation can get some getting used to but it hurts, you're pressing too hard.

I've tried a few dry brushes now and this one is really nice! it's very firm bristles which I love. I also wanted a dry brush that was wooden and beautiful as I leave it out on my shelf. before this I had one from chemist warehouse and it was just an eyesore
